This shoot featured in Modern Wedding Styling Handbook Magazine Volume 4 (2017/18) with us being listed as one of Australia's Top 25 Stylists.
The shoot was inspired by a mixture of ageless traditions and trends with an elegant, free-spirited bohemian twist on conventional weddings. ‘Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.’ Antique candlesticks mixed with modern marble plates, an earthy colour palette with pale pinks and a hint of blue amongst the white vast salt lakes created the ultimate wedding setting.
The name ‘Blushing Bride’ was chosen because of the accents of blush throughout the picnic display displayed in front of a beautiful canopy. A place for the newlyweds to lounge back and enjoy each other’s company and as the phrase stems from – their first night of true intimacy as Mr & Mrs.
I wanted to create the ultimate intimate setting while still allowing movement for chatter, celebration, dancing and fun!

I chose to incorporate a mixture of natives with soft and delicate blooms like the tulips, peonies and roses. This fusion was a continuation of the styling I had chosen, in mixing the bohemian, Moroccan trends with elegant, soft shabby chic pastels.
The location needed to be a vast, open landscape contributing to the feelings of being unrestricted and having a wedding day that held endless opportunity.
The marble plates were paired with 24ct gold plated cutlery, crystal detailed glassware and blush napkins tied with twine and a white feather embellished with gold. I chose a beige muslin table runner which flowed under antique gold tapered candlesticks and white and pink rose petals. The Moroccan wedding styled blankets underneath the picnic tables were covered in a mixture of beige and coffee tasselled cushions with blush pink smooth cushions to create a mix of the messy Bohemian elements with soft elegance.
The two tiered white chocolate mudcake was a focal piece of our picnic table setting. It was a picture of our colour palette; coffee brown colours showing through its white buttercream icing, adorned in gold dust, with varying shades of blush roses and a ‘Woohoo!’ cake topper to scream the celebration factor.
I imagine this wedding would be perfect for the ladies that want their wedding day to be one big celebration. The type that don’t like to sit in one place at a party because they’re always moving around, talking to friends, dancing and lounging back in comfort. Filled with little details to create a spectacular day, this wedding would suit any bride with a love for elegance while having a bohemian spirit.

So not very often, but occasionally, it decides to rain in our gorgeous sunshine city of Perth. It was one of these Wintery Sunday mornings we decided to set up & enjoy a beautiful INDOOR brunch to show you just how magical an inside picnic can be.
We teamed up with Li-Chi Pan and got together all our white comfy blankets & cushions, added a touch of gold with our lanterns, candlesticks & cutlery, got some decadent pastries... and Voilà! A magical morning was had by all.
The rain will never stop us from picnicking again!

These two are dear friends so it was an absolute pleasure to help plan, style & coordinate their special day.
We chose a moody luxe colour palette of black, gold, burgundy & blush to contrast the bright blue ocean backdrops that surrounded their venues.
The ceremony was held in the Australia II Gallery at the Maritime Museum in Fremantle, so we decked it out with timeless pieces to compliment the boats and existing decor. It didn't need much else so we created a burgundy leafy arbour for our focal point against the massive window wall.
The reception was held in the afternoon heading into the early evening. To decorate this already gorgeous venue we created simple flower arrangements, soft flowing textiles and a whole lot of candles.
What we loved most about this wedding: Isaac & Liz's motto when planning was to do the least stressful option and just enjoy the process. They didn't let tradition or the 'norms' stop them from creating little details about their day that were just for them. Their evening ended with them enjoying a quiet dinner by themselves... just bliss!

It was a gorgeous sunny Perth day and there was nothing more fitting than to celebrate Blair Evans birthday by the Swan River in true boho style.

Floral pastel styling with a touch of boho; this gorgeous baby shower was a perfect setting for the mum to be to celebrate with all her dearest friends and family.
